Summary
The Category Customer Analyst is responsible for supporting the Away From Home (AFH) team developing customer-tailored strategies that support the delivery of our company’s targets. This role will be responsible for conducting category and financial analysis and will support the team to effectively communicate category and customer plans. The Category Customer Analyst is expected to work independently and cohesively as part of a team.
Key responsibilities
Analyse sales data to identify performance drivers and commercial risks. Collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Supply and Demand team to address execution needs
Monitor and manage NZ AFH accruals, ensuring alignment to the annual operational plan
Manage short-to-long term forecast and develop volume assumptions leveraging on marketing trends and customer insights, and achieve forecast accuracy
Understand category role internally and across different customers, supporting in product optimisations and discontinuation decisions, and developing promotional strategies based on customer insights
Regularly assess ROI of promotional activities to drive profitable sales growth
Assess ranging gaps across customers and engage with Field team to deliver action plans at a customer branch level
Engage with Sales to build a Go-to-Market strategy for new product launches for executional delivery
Develop and leverage tools, processes, insights and systems capabilities associated with range, co-op displays and distribution performance
Perform assigned tasks in accordance with all Kraft Heinz Food Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety, and Ethical and Human Resources policies, programs and goals.

About you
Strong commercial acumen ideally through direct experience in Sales or Category management
Customer facing experience to sell plans to customers
Strong interpersonal skills to influence and sell recommendations internally
Action-focused mindset with proven ability to deliver through others
Collaborates effectively across market and functional boundaries.
Systems knowledge a plus: Tableau, BPCS, promotion evaluation tool, etc.
2+ years of working experience in Category Management and Shopper insights, Key Account Management or Sales related function. FMCG is desired.
Foodservice & FMCG related background is advantageous
