Summary: 

Category Coordinator at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our PacMar team supporting efforts of our Category Manager in the planning, execution, and analysis of product categories. This role is critical in ensuring that product assortments, pricing strategies, inventory levels, promotions, and vendor relationships align with business objectives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced retail or merchandising environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory and Supply Management:

Be responsible for assisting in managing inventory sourcing on assigned group of programs.Supply day-to-day management to ensure product availability and performance.Communicate daily market conditions, incoming products, current inventory, and potential/current outages.Review inventory, item movement/history, ad projections, and product supply; determine need and recommend or place orders.Report variances with corrective actions to the sales manager and sales supervisor once per period.Support daily push and extra value items2. Sourcing & Procurement:Assist category managers with the development and implementation of strategic sourcing and procurement processes.Achieve optimum service cost while ensuring high level of quality/service and respect delivery targets.Work with category managers on the development of price forecasts for key market drivers.Assist category managers with negotiations with vendors for the procurement of all materials, supplies, equipment, and services.Assist with developing new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.Ensure materials purchased will be done on a timely basis.Assist category managers with directing contract terms and manage vendor contracts to track financial terms, renewal terms, and other important contractual terms.Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required:

Minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.Knowledge of Word and Excel and Power PointProficiency in all Windows applications particularly excel and power point
