**Job Summary:**
Caterpillar’s Electric Power Division has an exciting opportunity as a Cat Rental Store Sales Representative. Cat Rental Store Sales Representative will serve as a multi-state sales liaison among dealers, customers, and other Caterpillar personnel for rental power products, aftermarket sales, and related supporting services by consulting in the development of dealer sales capability. This is a dealer facing territory position for an experienced, well organized professional where assignments are complex, challenging, and lend themselves to strategic decisions.
**What you will do:**
The key role of this position is that of an individual contributor who has a reputation as an expert in the rental power market, who will have the sole responsibility of selling rental power related products, aftermarket sales, and related supporting services for their designated coverage territory. Requires market opportunity analysis, obtaining quarterly financial metrics, facilitating dealer leadership tables, and conducting rental operational reviews in order to provide guidance to dealers on existing and future rental power fleet needs and operational improvement measures.
+ Incumbent will assist dealers on forecasting, sales/rental/used strategy planning, and sales techniques; will support launches of new Caterpillar products (e.g. equipment, parts, customer service agreements, other service products); will analyze and communicate marketplace and competitive activity to Caterpillar personnel and dealers; will examine product applications, configurations, and utilization that helps provide the best solution for a dealer and their customers; and will aide dealers with business planning, while creating new or promoting existing programs that increase sales at the same time maximizing price realization.
+ Individuals in this position must understand and keep current on dealer/customer market needs and understand how and why decisions are made within their work group and organization. They are responsible for applying those decisions to support and develop product sales, dealer effectiveness, overall segment growth, NPI process, sales management process improvement, etc. Incumbents will apply product & industry knowledge in support of Caterpillar, dealer, and customer expectations in both the short and long-term horizons. Implements and delivers on global rental team dealer and market strategies.
+ Work either independently on individual assignments, or collaboratively within the rental power team on group initiatives. Managing own assignments and keeping up to date with new industry trends, changing technology, and regulations affecting the marketplace is a must.

**Top Candidates will also have:**
+ College or university degree or equivalent experience is highly desired.
+ 3+ years’ of rental experience and/or recognized expertise in electric power industries and markets is highly desired.
+ Technical knowledge of gensets, switchgear, uninterruptable power supply, automatic transfer switch, photovoltaic, microgrid, energy storage and/or packaging is highly desired.

+ This position is located within the territory of the role from the employee’s home office in CA-Home in California; AZ-Home in Arizona; or CO-Home in Colorado.
+ Domestic travel of 50-75% in a multi-state territory is required.

**Summary Pay Range:**
$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
