How you will create an impact + Focused on Casualty business , y ou will be res ponsible for a portfolio of high value, managing complex claims from coverage in quiry through legal liability assessment and quantum analysis, to timely and accurate resolution, where appropriate within authority limits and providing a high standard of customer service. + Your goal will be timely , accurate and customer-focused claim resolution, minimizing indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expense – you will actively promote and demonstrate the principles of ‘ Treating Customers Fairly ’ in claims handling . + Work with Team Manager/Senior Adjuster to ensuring effective vendor and litigation management on Complex claims within a personal allocation. + Internal stakeholder communication where required + Strive for continuous improvement on claim file handling with feedback and support through the Quality Assurance Review processes + Contribute to maintenance of best practice procedures for Casualty claims, consistent with global best practice. + Demonstrate a technical claims competence for handling moderate to complex claims. + Handle complex claims allocated within agreed level of authority limit. What you’ll need to succeed + Relevant experience and knowledge as a Casualty Claims adjuster/handler. + Law degree preferred + Fluent in English is a MUST (T he adjuster will deal with Multinational claims). + Familiarity with Pre-action Protocols, Personal Injury Scale, Experience in conducting technical claims audits and effectively following. + Knowledge of legal / regulatory and litigation / procedural requirements for Casualty . + Experienced in stakeholder management, both internal (underwriting, distribution and finance) and external (brokers and clients) + Experience in negotiation, mediation and arbitration skills. + Capacity to work in an industry changing landscape + Attention to detail + Good time management and prioritization skills. + Teamwork We are an Equal Opportunity Employer It has been and will continue to be the policy of American International Group, Inc., its subsidiaries and affiliates to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
