Hub’s Midwest Region and Specialty Practices is looking to hire a Casualty Broker. This role will support the local region’s Casualty program needs, as well as be actively involved in the growth of the overall North American Casualty Practice.   

Responsibilities:

Assess risk characteristics based on client industry, client specific risk attributes, and loss historyDevelop short and long term comprehensive marketing strategy, based on risk profile, carrier appetite and market conditions Utilize analytical tools to appropriately frame client/prospective client in the insurance marketplaceWork with AE’s, HUB Data analytics, and outside actuaries to gather and analyze claim and exposure dataPresent analytics results to clientsFacilitate market negotiations with a spirit of client advocacyManage renewal process to ensure timely deliverablesPresent traditional and alternative risk transfer products, renewal proposals and optionsReview client contracts to ensure compliance with insurance requirementsDevelop professional, client ready materials for presentations and meetingsDevelop and maintain relationships with underwriting contacts from standard, specialty and reinsurance marketsProvide regular Casualty market updates to clients and colleagues Work with and support other HUB North American Casualty Practice colleagues as respects requests for regional & industry related expertise. Train and develop junior team membersWork with leadership to recruit outside talent to strengthen the practice and develop new capabilities.

Qualifications:

7-10 years of experience, preferably with majority being in the large account Casualty brokerage/underwriting discipline.Bachelor degree desiredP&C License requiredStrong technical capability and familiarity with various Casualty productsDemonstrated experience in Casualty analytics – Developing & analyzing loss projections, analysis of claim data, collateral analysisAbility to set strategy and place large and complex Casualty risks into the market Established relationships and visibility in the global Casualty marketplaceProven progressive track record in working with Sales teams to drive new business resultsA consultative, positive and resourceful approach to dealing with prospects, clients and associatesStrong organization and time management skillsStrong listening, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsMeeting/Presentation experienceStrong degree of self-motivation with a demonstrated ability to lead/motivate othersAbility to partner across HUB and work well with various teams and practices

The expected salary range for this position is $140,000 to $200,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits such as vacation, sick, and personal days, and eligible bonuses, equity and commissions for some positions.
