Job Description

The Warehouse and Warehouse Stationery in Whakatāne is seeking friendly and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Casual Team Members. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable retail experience in a dynamic and customer-focused environment.

Provide exceptional customer service, assisting shoppers with inquiries and product informationOperate cash registers and process various types of transactions accuratelyMaintain a clean and tidy store environment, ensuring products are well-presented and correctly pricedAssist with stock replenishment and inventory managementWork collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals and targetsParticipate in promotional activities and special events as requiredAdhere to all health and safety policies and procedures

Please note this is a casual position to work on an as needed basis - there are no set hours.

QualificationsExcellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanourStrong communication abilities, both verbal and writtenAbility to work effectively in a team environmentBasic numeracy skills for handling cash and processing transactionsFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidaysPhysical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weightsRetail experience is preferred but not essential – we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learnCommitment to upholding The Warehouse's values and brand standards
