Carnegie Mellon University’s department of Athletics is searching for multiple Non-CMU Student, Part-time Casual Recreation Desk Attendants. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing essential support by assisting in day-to-day operations and provide excellent customer service at desks serving patrons in recreation facilities during operating hours.
This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible position offered to provide coverage during CMU break periods and as needed to meet staffing requirements to maintain Athletic facility operations. Hours will vary based on needs. Priority consideration and preference will be given for individuals that have familiarity with the Carnegie Mellon community and university facilities.
Core responsibilities will include:
Provide a high level of customer service, administrative skills, communication and teamwork, community support, and safety & security
Laundry for the athletics department
Troubleshoot and make sure customers/CMU ID holders are satisfied
Ensuring the athletics department area is well maintained and changing cleaning supplies when needed
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Customer service experience is preferred
Knowledge of athletics/athletic department is preferred
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
