UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing is seeking a casual Nursing Instructor to join our expanding team. We welcome candidates with an MSN and 3 years of clinical experience. Final job title will reflect your education, experience, and manager discretion.

The individual hired into this role will support a weekend clinical group (every other weekend).

The mission of UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing is to prepare entry-level graduate nurses for practice within an interprofessional healthcare team. The school is part of UPMC Shadyside, which is part of the UPMC health system. The focus of our program is mastery of high-level competencies reflecting the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for the delivery of safe, quality nursing care.

Deliver quality classroom and clinical instruction, create meaningful assignments, and demonstrate expertise. Contribute to policy development and use evidence-based teaching strategies. Encourage critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills development. Engage in quality improvement projects, scholarly work, and program evaluation to enhance student performance. Support educational change initiatives and demonstrate leadership across nursing schools. Serve as a professional role model and co-chair committees as assigned.
