Duties & Responsibilities:

Partner with sourcing team members for Casting supplier development and project costsProvide engineering technical support for Castings suppliers including tooling, there for reducing casting product cost.Develop plans for every part number supporting procurement with supplier decisions and developmentDefine advantages of machined (hog-out) versus completed cast design and communicate to sourcing team. 

Work Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following combination of Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field or in lieu of degree a minimum of 8 years’ experience in casting producibility or similar rolesPreferred disciplines include Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing EngineeringMust be able to read blueprints and conceptualize product configurationsAdditive manufacturing experience helpfulMust be a self-starter, manage time effectively and meet deliverable deadlinesDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate specific requirements with suppliers and monitor the overall development process at supplier endDue to the nature of work being performed you must be a US Citizen

Exempt Salary Range: $90K - $110K DOE
