Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Cash Management Specialist to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to work within the dynamic insurance industry, assisting with essential financial operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in cash application processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations. Responsibilities: • Process daily cash receivables and accurately post them into the Workday system. • Investigate and resolve cash-related discrepancies by collaborating with customers, internal teams, and external partners. • Handle electronic payment transactions, including wires and ACH payments. • Prepare and deposit all checks received in the office in a timely manner. • Coordinate with various departments to address inquiries and ensure smooth financial operations. • Review positive pay items with the bank to confirm their accuracy and compliance. • Maintain organized records and documentation of all cash transactions. • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and address issues. • Support team operations by contributing to process improvements and maintaining high standards of accuracy. Requirements • Minimum of one year of experience in accounts receivable or cash application processes. • Proficiency in posting payments and managing cash transactions. • Familiarity with electronic payment systems, including wires and ACH. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners. • Experience using Workday or similar financial software; training can be provided. • Excellent communication skills to address inquiries and resolve issues. • Business casual attire required in an office environment focused on precision and efficiency.
