The Cash Balance POD Adjustment Specialist I provides administrative and customer service support within Deposit Operations, focusing on cash balancing, POD adjustments, large item review, and official claims. This role ensures accuracy in daily reconciliation processes while supporting branch staff and maintaining compliance with bank policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
·Identify and resolve out-of-balance items on daily cash reconciliation sheets.
·Review and correct proof errors, adjusting customer accounts and internal DDA or GL accounts.
·Assist branches in locating and resolving outages, including ATM balancing.
·Respond promptly and professionally to phone calls and emails from internal departments.
·Review daily cash management and POD reports for accuracy.
Competencies Required:
·Proficiency in 10-key by touch and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Access).
·Ability to quickly learn and navigate banking systems and applications.
·Strong organizational and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
·Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
·Strong written and verbal communication skills.
·Customer service orientation with effective problem-solving and analytical abilities.
·Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
·Strong attention to detail with high concern for data integrity.
·Ability to recognize and escalate suspicious activity.
·Dependable attendance and punctuality; flexibility with work hours.
