Cash Application Specialist
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Rosemont, Illinois. In this long-term contract role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payments and maintaining financial records. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of a leading manufacturing company. Responsibilities: • Process incoming payments and accurately apply them to the appropriate accounts. • Reconcile discrepancies between payments received and outstanding accounts receivable. • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure all financial records are up-to-date and error-free. • Investigate and resolve payment issues, including misapplied or missing payments. • Maintain detailed records of cash applications and provide reports as needed. • Communicate with internal teams and external customers to address payment inquiries. • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations. • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes by providing relevant cash application data. • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the cash application workflow. Requirements • Proven experience with cash applications and accounts receivable processes. • Strong knowledge of cash posting and payment reconciliation. • Ability to handle high volumes of transactions with accuracy and efficiency. • Proficiency in using financial software and tools. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. The salary range for this position is $25.00 to $34.00. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
