Description We are looking for a dedicated Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Sarasota, Florida. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a vital role in managing accounts receivable processes and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. Responsibilities: • Oversee accounts receivable processes for company house routes, ensuring timely and accurate cash application. • Perform daily cash management tasks, including verifying bank deposits and recording financial transactions. • Post and reconcile payments in QuickBooks, maintaining accuracy and resolving discrepancies. • Investigate and resolve payment irregularities, including overpayments and underpayments. • Maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records, applying credits and collections, and clearing small balance differences. • Process credit adjustments in QuickBooks and ensure accurate reporting. • Prepare weekly accounts receivable reports, highlighting discrepancies and identifying slow-paying customers. • Collaborate with CROs to discuss account statuses and address outstanding issues. • Generate and upload weekly journal entries for cash and miscellaneous transactions. • Prepare detailed aging reports for monthly financial reviews, providing insights on aged invoices and credits. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, with a focus on cash applications. • Proficiency in QuickBooks with at least 3 years of hands-on experience. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in managing financial data. • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts receivable processes. • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders. • Experience preparing financial reports, including aging and account reconciliation. • Solid understanding of credit adjustments and financial recordkeeping. • Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
