We are seeking an experienced Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Dallas, TX. As a vital member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing cash applications and payment posting processes across multiple states and locations. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial transactions, contributing to the overall success of our organization.
This position is in office the first 60 days (6688 N. Central Expressway, Dallas, TX 75206). Once fully trained will have the option for a hybrid/remote schedule.
Responsibilities Review and interpret insurance EOBs and remittance advicesPost and reconcile ERA, EFT, cash, credit card, and check paymentsRecord all payments corresponding to the bank statement weeklyEnsure allowances, adjustments, and write offs are posted correctlyInvestigate unidentified cash and resolve misdirected payments and recoupmentsResearch all remits corresponding to assigned company payments in WaystarBalance daily posting batches to ensure accuracy and reconciliationMaintain accurate Excel spreadsheet at the end of the month for assigned imported Medicare PaymentsScan EOBs and checks into software system Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.Strong understanding of healthcare billing and payment processes.1 year of medical claim payment posting is preferred.Ability to read and interpret remittance advices and explanation of benefits is required.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Homecare Homebase software.Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the healthcare industry preferred.
