With offices throughout North America, South America, Asia and Europe, the company offers progressive & efficient solutions for moving freight by land, sea, and air. Your Part in It: Working from our global headquarters in downtown Chicago, we are looking for our next Carrier Sales Manager. You will oversee the development and maintenance of relationships with both new and established carriers/vendors. You will also ensure that the carrier sales representatives are effectively prospecting new carriers/vendors and monitor individual and team performance levels to meet company objectives. This position requires a unique personality and skill set. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with other departments, achieving sales targets, and being knowledgeable of market trends and rates.   CARRIER SALES MANAGER What the Job Entails: Assist in the negotiation of competitive rates while staying current on market trends and pricing. Ensure that communication of load details and shipment parameters to carrier dispatch and drivers throughout the lifespan of the shipment is in compliance. Oversee the monitoring of shipments on a daily basis to ensure coverage, on-time performance and address any in-transit issues. Effectively manage the communication of load statuses, issues, and concerns to sales representatives in a timely and effective manner Assist the team in learning and implementing effective sales skills. Hire, train, and develop new team members. Ability to lead and motivate a sales team towards common goals.
