Maintains or repairs items as requested, may involve the following: assess job to determine appropriate repair procedures; removes or cut away damaged areas of walls, floor tiles, carpeting, or ceilings safely using correct equipment; dispose of debris properly and safely; repairs or replace materials as needed; removes and replaces door locks; produce new keys and issue to approved personnel; repairs damaged furniture; transports items to shop may be required; cleanup work area. Carpenter may have to work in extreme hot or cold conditions.
