Position Summary:

This position is responsible for installing, building and maintaining all structural and themeing elements in the facility, as directed by the supervisor.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

Sets metal door frames and is responsible for all steel wall constructionConstructs, laminates and installs cabinetsProvides building maintenance and repairPerforms finish work, such as installing interior and exterior trim

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides general building repair and maintenanceResponsible for all department logs and labor recording pertinent to the day-to-day job dutiesMaintains a clean and safe work environment

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalentFour years of commercial carpentry experienceThorough knowledge of all phases of cabinet construction and laminationMust be familiar with the safe and effective use of all types of power toolsMust have experience with setting metal door frames and steel wall construction

Competencies:  Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

Basic knowledge of the safe and effective use of all types of power toolsAbility to interpret and follow carpentry instructions and specifications such as blueprints, manuals, sketches and work ordersMeasures  and accurately calculates dimensions

Training Requirements:

Respirator training and fit testedMan lift training (scissor and boom lift)Forklift trainingFall training

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Must be able to work in a smoking environment as well as various weather conditions including extreme hot and coldMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to bend, stoop and climb a ladderAbility to wear a breathing maskMust be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
