We have an immediate opening at Oakview Apartments (located in Marion, NC) to work with individuals with disabilities and truly make a difference in their lives. Group Homes can be a major step for empowering independence and building a community for those we serve. Our homes provide all of the support our residents need – mental, physical and emotional. Each person has their own bedroom, with meals and activities provided in a common area. Residents share responsibilities and learn life skills including cooking and cleaning. Staff are present for residents 24/7 supporting them with their everyday needs. All of our Group Homes are licensed by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation. Available Schedule: Staff needed to work part-time Saturdays and Sundays. Must work at least 4 hrs/day, and no more than 8 hrs/day, during the hours of 8:00a - 7:00p. Responsibilities/Qualifications: + Promote client outcomes in behavioral, social, and vocational realms + Assist client participation in leisure/recreational activities + Maintain a schedule of services/activities in a treatment plan and report on status of health and safety objectives + Provide respite and companionship to offer relief to family or primary caregiver + Complete and submit documentation and payroll data according to scheduled deadlines + Complete initial and ongoing training and staff development activities + Ability to achieve competency in required knowledge, skills, and abilities + Ability to work independently in the community and/or the client’s home + Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary, based on individual client needs + Passion and experience working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) is preferred Requirements: + Must be at least 18 years old + High School Diploma or equivalent + Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation + Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks + Lifting may be required depending on individual client needs + CPR/First Aid Certification Training is provided by company Benefits: + Flexible Schedules; Weekly Pay; Competitive Wages; Paid Onboarding Training; Scholarship Program; + Eligibility of some benefits are based on hours worked include: + Medical; Dental; Life Insurance; 401K At Abound Health we are proud to specialize in helping individuals with I/DD reach their fullest potential.
