We are looking for an Application Scientist III to join our team. The Application Scientist will provide technical assistance to internal and external customers through color formulation, custom development, prototyping, and small scale and commercial trial batches.

What you’ll do:

Contributes to the product life cycleWorks on new product ideas and customer requirements, comes up with creative alternatives.Reports on how new product ideas could be used organizationally.Works on complex project with independence.Completes complex tasks in a timely manner to support business objectives.Willingness to travel up to 50%, including short notice travel.Assists in development of more junior staff such as Application Scientist I and II.Works on new product ideas and modifications to determine their potential to address customer needs.Creates new color customized solutions in the formulation system (item code and technical information associated).Reports on new product specifications.Generates customer reports and presentations.Collaborates in customer visits and customer trainingsScales up and first production supervision to ensure proper industrialization of food colors.Follows Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices.Makes sure all laboratory equipment is fully functioning.Collaborates with the Technical team elaborating ready to eat formulationsRuns stability tests for the new product developments of the sub-segmentLead technical discussion with customers and account managers.Design the best color solution based on customers desired target markets and associated regulatory requirements.Coordinate communications between the Operations, Sensient’s Regulatory & Quality Departments in order to share support to customer.

What you’ll bring:

Bachelor's degree in general science or food science or equivalent education.  A minimum of four years of experience in the industry formula and product development, and management project experience preferred. Dairy, Beverages, confections and pet Food applications expertise preferred.Leads projects where product applications are required to offer color solutions to food industry customers.An enthusiastic, creative, and team centered approach to creating an amazing office environment.English working proficiency 80%.
