Sensient Technologies New Zealand, is a fast growing business unit within the Sensient Asia-Pacific Group.  We provide quality food ingredients to our customers on a world-wide basis, and are highly successful through our attention to customer service, creative technological, innovation and product quality. We are currently seeking a result driven candidate with passion for product development. The candidate should drive application development and innovative formulation, process and evaluation in a variety of product segments. Additionally, the job will require attention to detail and ability to learn new skills. 

You will thrive being part of a team of motivated people, be collaborative, however also comfortable working alone. Customer, quality and entrepreneurial focus are essential in this position.  This is a part time position, requires 24 hours work hours per week. 

What you will do: 

Work on new product ideas and customer requirements using our portfolio of flavours, colours and natural extracts in a variety of food segmentsWork closely with cross functional teams to drive customer briefsDevelop solutions for projects, including the ability to diagnose issues and communicate the results to customersInnovation, development and preparation of prototypes for presentation to key customersLead production and scale up trialsSupport the sales team and join customer presentations and innovation work shopsResponsible to constantly seek ways and methods to better serve our customers

What you will bring: 

Bachelor’s degree in food technology, food science or equivalent education1-2 years of experience in the food industryDirect experience in product development is highly desired however not essential
