Miami Job Corps is an education and training center located in Miami Gardens FL We are a Center which uses student-focused programs to ensure successful training and employment placement for each individual we serve.

Schedule Monday - Friday 8am-5pm (WEEKENDS OFF)
Position SummaryThe Career Technical Training & Career Transition Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Career Technical Training Department, including Work-Based Learning (WBL) and the CTR/Grad-90 Program. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, industry-recognized training and credentialing programs, as well as transitional support and placement services leading to quality full-time employment, higher education, military enlistment, or advanced training opportunities. The Manager fosters strategic, Center-beneficial partnerships that enhance student success, while safeguarding the confidentiality of sensitive information and ensuring the integrity of all student data.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide leadership and direction for the Career Technical Training Department, including WBL and CTR/Grad-90 programs.
+ Ensure that all training programs meet industry standards and lead to recognized credentials.
+ Oversee transitional support and placement services that result in positive student outcomes in employment, education, or advanced training.
+ Develop and maintain partnerships with businesses, community organizations, educational institutions, and industry leaders to expand opportunities for students.
+ Ensure compliance with all DOL, Company, and PRH requirements related to training, student placement, and program quality.
+ Uphold strict confidentiality and integrity in handling student data and sensitive information.
+ Supervise and evaluate the Career Technical Training staff, providing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
+ Collaborate with other departments to ensure coordinated support for students during their training and transition phases.
+ Monitor program performance and implement continuous improvement strategies to meet or exceed performance goals.
+ Prepare accurate, timely reports and documentation as required.

Qualifications
Program Leadership & Compliance
+ Uphold all integrity guidelines and maintain the confidentiality and accuracy of student data.
+ Ensure the Center meets or exceeds DOL and Company performance standards.
+ Oversee and manage all CTT operations, including WBL and CTR/Grad-90 programs.
+ Ensure that each student receives comprehensive, individualized case management to promote credential attainment, quality training, and successful placement outcomes.
+ Monitor program performance, track outcomes, and implement strategies to achieve goals.
+ Ensure instructors deliver training and transitional support that aligns with industry standards and placement objectives.
Workforce Alignment & Partnerships
+ Collaborate with the Center’s Workforce Council to ensure training meets local workforce demands.
+ Ensure representation from employers in all CTT and Career Transition areas to provide career guidance and placement opportunities.
+ Develop community partnerships that support education, employment, and training initiatives.
+ Promote a positive image of the Center and Job Corps to employers, industry leaders, and elected officials.
Student Support & Success
+ Mentor, model, and monitor Career Success Standards as outlined in the PRH.
+ Provide high-quality supervision, maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, and hold students accountable for behavior and performance.
+ Pursue continuous improvement in programs and services to meet evolving student needs.
Staff Supervision & Development
+ Recruit, hire, evaluate, and develop CTT Department staff.
+ Provide coaching, training, and professional development for new and current employees.
+ Hold staff accountable for meeting performance goals and producing quality work.
+ Recognize accomplishments, address performance concerns proactively, and maintain a supportive work environment.
Collaboration & Communication
+ Partner with other departments to ensure coordinated supervision and services for students.
+ Exchange ideas and information clearly and professionally in both written and verbal forms.
+ Provide timely and accurate reports and updates to DOL/Company as requested.
+ Identify problems, analyze causes, recommend solutions, and follow up to ensure effective resolution.
+ Accept direction from the Center Director or Shift Manager, including temporary assignments in other departments as needed.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
