What You'll Do

We are looking for a CE Career Services (Senior) Manager to join us as a parental leave cover, starting Nov/Dec 2025 for a period of 13 months, responsible for coaching and counseling candidates during their professional reorientation with a regional focus on Munich.


Providing systematic career counseling for consultants, alumni, and occasional Executive Career Services candidates—whether departing or having departed BCG voluntarily or involuntarily—delivered through a structured four-module program: position analysis, go-to-market (including a target company list), interview preparation, and onboarding

Coaching and supporting candidates thinking about career opportunities at BCG and beyond, during the search for new employment or during the transition processEnabling candidates to define their USP and storylineClarifying the candidate’s search profile by closely reflecting on job clusters and potential new roles, industries, or other decision factorsReviewing CVs, cover letters, and project listsSupporting candidates in defining job search strategies (“six channel access”), especially how to leverage BCG’s networkNetworking intensively with BCG’s alumni network as well as with HR departments of potential employers, recruitment agencies, and executive search companies with the goal of mediating vacancies to candidatesExpanding your knowledge of current job market developments and trends; observing the competition and proactively initiating measuresInterfacing with BCG’s Career Services and Alumni Relations functions on system, regional, and global levelsCooperating with other departments, such as the Talent Management Unit, HR, Business Development, and Marketing

What You'll Bring

You hold a university or college degree, ideally with a focus on labor psychology or human resource management.You bring at least 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in areas such as new placement, executive search, coaching, or management appraisals.You are an excellent communicator—extroverted, empathetic, and an active listener—with the ability to connect with people at all levels.You are genuinely interested in people, curious about what drives them, and passionate about supporting their growth.You think strategically and contribute innovative ideas to advance our department. A business development perspective is nothing new to you.You have a high level of integrity, maturity, and can be trusted to handle sensitive information confidentially.You are confident using digital tools and enjoy exploring technology-driven solutions.You bring strong networking skills and thrive in collaborative, team-oriented environments.You are committed, solution-focused, and capable of working independently with a sharp eye for detail.You speak and write English fluently.
