The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IBM TM1, Cognos, SQL, and business intelligence/reporting solutions, along with a solid foundation in Python and data modeling. Experience or familiarity with life sciences sales and forecasting data will be considered a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and enhance planning and reporting solutions using IBM TM1 (Planning Analytics) and Cognos BI tools. Design and implement complex OLAP models, cubes, and dashboards to support business planning and forecasting. Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable BI/reporting solutions. Build and maintain data models to support efficient reporting and analytics workflows. Utilize Python to automate data processes, conduct data analysis, and integrate with BI platforms where applicable. Validate data accuracy and consistency across reports and dashboards. Support business stakeholders with ad-hoc queries and reporting needs. Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes and reporting systems. (If applicable) Apply understanding of life sciences sales and forecasting data to develop domain-relevant reports and insights. Technical Skills Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience with IBM TM1 (Planning Analytics) and Cognos BI suite. Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and managing relational databases. Solid understanding of business intelligence and reporting best practices. Experience in data modeling and architecture design for analytics applications. Working knowledge of Python for data scripting and automation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to business users. Nice-to-have skills Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to or experience in the life sciences/pharmaceutical industry, particularly in sales and forecasting data. Familiarity with ETL tools and data warehousing concepts. Experience working in agile or fast-paced environments. Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
