SUMMARY

Tomlinson Environmental Services Ltd. (“TES”) is currently seeking an individual to perform operations of a waste disposal site managed & located in Kingston, ON.   This is an 6-month contract position, with possibility of extension.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibilities are:

Operate a wheel loader in a safe manner – performing material “push-ups”, loading walking floors and other trucks as needed Engage with the general public in a respectful manner Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment; clean, lubricate & refill equipment Conduct daily inspections on equipment Direct traffic flow around the site as to where customers should drop-off their material Perform access road maintenance as required Assist subcontractors when they are on site to grind/shred material Be able to help around the facility and clean-up as required Maintain proper hours of service and logs as applicable Perform other miscellaneous jobs as assigned WORKING CONDITIONS Working outdoors in all weather conditions, largely in a soiled and sometimes dusty environment. Periodic heavy lifting required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required. Ability and willingness to work at multiple sites. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Must have a valid drivers’ license Availability to work weekends (Saturdays) Must have experience operating a large loader; experience operating a 20-tonne considered an asset mechanical background is an asset Customer service experience considered an asset Must have the ability to operate heavy equipment in a safe & effective manner Must be able to work independently or as part of a team Must have a strong work ethic and have a positive attitude
