Care Management Support Assistant
**Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first** Are you a transitioning military service member or a Military Spouse looking for an internship that supports the goal to put health first? During the period of this unpaid internship, you will work with the Medicaid Clinical Services team to ensure interaction between the company and members are optimized. The Care Management Support Assistant Internship provides transitioning service members that are eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge Internship, or military spouses that are eligible to participate in the Military Spouse Fellowship, with an opportunity to train and work with Humana's Medicaid Team. If you are interested in this position, you will be required to confirm eligibility. Programs we are supporting: Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) and the Applied Behavioral Analysis Program, and Expanded Benefits Outreach Currently, our primary focus is on delivering targeted outreach support for the expansion of both the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) programs. The PPEC program serves children with complex medical conditions by providing a safe, medically supervised daycare environment where their healthcare needs are addressed throughout the day, thereby enabling parents or guardians to maintain employment. Notably, several PPEC facilities also offer transportation services to and from the center, further reducing barriers to care and supporting family stability. In parallel, the ABA outreach initiative is designed to proactively confirm and manage active authorizations for members, ensuring continuity of care and timely access to behavioral health services. This approach helps prevent lapses in service, enhances member satisfaction, and supports clinical outcomes by aligning service delivery with member needs. By dedicating resources to these programs, we aim to improve access, care coordination, and overall quality of life for our pediatric members and their families. These initiatives are aligned with organizational goals to provide comprehensive, member-centered support and are consistent with best practices in pediatric care management. Additionally, we are assisting our SDoH Team with aged, expanded benefits backlog so that we are maintaining Market compliance.
