Title: Care Corps Trainee Program: Full-Time Temporary Salary Range: $17.00 per hour Description: This opportunity is only available to individuals who have received a formal enrollment offer for Project Renewal's Care Corps Program. The Care Corps Trainee role is part of a 6-week sector-based training that prepares individuals for careers as Psychiatric Social Health Technicians in the behavioral health field. The program includes classroom instruction, experiential learning through clinical simulation labs, crisis prevention and other employer-informed training. Participants who have been pre-selected for this program will receive a training stipend, earn certifications, and receive personalized coaching and support to ensure success in the behavioral health workforce Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties of the Care Corps Trainee include the following activities + Classroom Training (3 weeks): Participate in structured lessons on behavioral health practices, crisis prevention, and psychiatric care basics. + Simulation & On-Site Training (3 weeks): Apply knowledge in real-world environments at NYC Health + Hospitals, gaining practical experience with guidance from experienced professionals. + Active Engagement : Complete required coursework, certifications, and assessments to meet all program milestones Qualifications + Enrollment Offer: Only individuals who have received an official enrollment offer for the Care Corps Program are eligible. + High school diploma or HSE/GED + At least 6 months of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting Job Details Pay Type Hourly Employment Indicator Regular Education Level High School Hiring Min Rate 17 USD Hiring Max Rate 17 USD
