The Cardiac Catheterization Technician performs critical clinical functions within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Under the direct supervision of a physician, this individual monitor hemodynamic data, evaluates patient vitals and EKGs, and operates specialized cardiopulmonary monitoring equipment. This role ensures accurate documentation, equipment setup under sterile technique, and timely communication of physiological changes. The Technician also assists in maintaining workflow between cases and supports procedural safety and compliance within the lab environment. Responsibilities: • Monitor patients during cardiac catheterization procedures, evaluating blood pressure, EKG, and hemodynamic data; promptly report abnormalities to the attending physician. • Accurately document procedural findings before, during, and after catheterization per established unit protocols. • Set up and balance hemodynamic transducers using sterile technique prior to each case. • Maintain comprehensive procedural records including vitals, medications, equipment used, and interventions performed. • Support room turnover between cases and anticipate supply needs to ensure timely procedural starts. • Identify and report equipment malfunctions or operational issues to supervisor immediately. • Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. Requirements: • Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) in a related discipline OR graduation from an accredited cardiopulmonary program • Previous experience in a Cardiopulmonary or Cath Lab setting preferred • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required Shift: Evenings 1100A - 0930P Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department.
