Join our dedicated team at Utah Valley Hospital as a PRN Cardiac Sonographer. This role is ideal for recent graduates or those completing clinical training in cardiac sonography. Caregivers are expected to obtain certification within one year of graduation or completion of clinical training, unless actively pursuing registry exams in accordance with ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI standards. **Essential Functions** + Prioritize and schedule exams, coordinating with physicians, staff, and patients. + Prepare patients for exams by verifying identity, educating them and their families, and ensuring safe transport. + Perform ultrasound exams following established protocols, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging. + Return patients to their rooms post-exam and ensure their stability and safety. + Communicate effectively with physicians, caregivers, patients, and families to coordinate care. + Document exam results accurately and ensure proper billing for exams and supplies. + Report equipment or supply issues through appropriate channels. + Support team initiatives and quality improvement efforts. + Participate in ongoing education to maintain clinical competence and expand skills. + May only remain in this job code for one year post-program completion unless actively pursuing certification. **Required Skills** + Cardiovascular Sonography + Digital Literacy + Patient Care & Safety + Quality Assurance + Medical Terminology + Effective Communication + Patient Education + Healthcare Protocols + Patient Identification **Minimum Requirements:** + Eligible to take ARDMS or CCI boards in cardiac or vascular sonography within one year of hire. + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers. + Currently enrolled in or graduate of an accredited or certificate program (e.g., Intermountain Adult Echocardiography Program). **Preferred:** + Related clinical or professional experience in cardiac sonography. **Physical Requirements:** **Location:** Intermountain Health Utah Valley Hospital **Work City:** Provo **Work State:** Utah **Scheduled Weekly Hours:** 0 The hourly range for this position is listed below.
