AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-new hospital in Riverview, which is scheduled to open in 2024.
The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at time of opening with space to expand to 202 beds in the future.
This $250 million project in Riverview also includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building that will provide community members convenient access to expert care.
AdventHealth Riverview will offer a wide range of health care services which includes emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic and womens care.
**The role you'll contribute** **:**
Cardiac Prep and Recovery Unit Registered Nurses provide care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, ablations, peripheral studies/interventions and cardiac device implants.Care includes prepping patients for Cardiac procedures, as well as providing supportive care during recovery.This care integrates scientific knowledge and technical skills; including sheath maintenance, titration of cardiac medications post procedure, high level EKG monitoring, and post-propofol recovery with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care. Cardiac Prep and Recovery Unit Registered Nurses require a high degree of knowledge in cardiac procedures, anatomy of the heart, circulatory, and neuro system in a specialized environment. Cardiac Prep and Recovery Unit Registered Nurses prepare patients for their procedure and must have the ability to provide education to patients and families before and after the test/and or intervention.In addition, the Cardiac Prep and Recovery Unit Registered Nurses will be trained to assist physicians with non-invasive procedures to include Trans-Esophageal Echocardiogram, Cardioversion, and Tilt Table Testing.Pre-Admission Testing will be performed in the Cardiac Prep and Recovery Unit to provide the cardiac patients with continuity of care and improved coordination with Cardiologists.
**The value you'll bring to the team** **:**
Perform Pre-Admission Testing for all out-patients having a cardiac procedure in the Cath Lab, EP Lab, or Non-invasive suite
Coordinate with Cath Lab Supervisor and staff for efficiency, flow, and quality patient care
Provides pre and post care for all Diagnostic and Intervention Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiovascular procedures to all patients, regardless of sex, age or race.Provides patients with efficient and courteous care
Demonstrates the ability to appropriately assess and intervene for patients following cardiac procedures
Competency in monitoring following the administration of moderate sedation as well as TIVA as provided by the Anesthesia team
Qualifications
**The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:**
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing upon hire
PCU level nursing for at least 2 years upon hire
Sheath Maintenance upon hire
Current FL RN License upon hire
Current American Heart Association ACLS upon hire
Current American Heart Association BLS upon hire
NHSS Stroke Certification within 6 months of hire date
2 hours Stroke education within 6 months of hire date, then 1 hour annually
