Cardiac Imaging Physician HTPN

JOB SUMMARY

The Physician HTPN examines and treats patients with a wide range of conditions, take patient histories, request diagnostic tests, make diagnoses, prescribe treatment, administer vaccinations, perform follow-up examinations, as well as educate patients in disease prevention and health maintenance. The Physician HTPN will supervise the clinical activities of allied health professionals and advanced practice professionals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

\n\nExamine, collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.\nPrescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.\nOrder, perform, and interpret tests and examine records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients condition.\nWork as part of a clinical team of technicians, advanced practice professionals, and other physicians in conclusion making around tests, diagnoses and treatment options for patients with illnesses or diseases.\nMonitor patient conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.\n\n

Specialty:

\n\nDiagnoses and treats conditions in area of specialty.\nMay work in hospital, specialty clinic or outpatient surgical center.\nMay perform surgical procedures, treatment or non-invasive procedures in area of specialty.\nMay create post-operative care plans, recommend lifestyle changes involving diet, exercise and other matters.\nSupervise the clinical activities of a care team that may consist of other providers, and allied health professionals.\n\n

Advanced Imaging Specialist to join the team at Baylor Scott & White, The Heart Hospital - Plano

Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital - Plano is renowned for its exceptional cardiac care and surgeries, providing advanced interventions to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. As one of the busiest and highest-rated heart hospitals in the nation, we are proud to offer a comprehensive range of services, including state-of-the-art procedures such as robotic cardiac valve surgeries, percutaneous structural cardiac interventions, mechanical cardiac support, and ventricular assist device implantation.

To meet the growing demand and uphold our commitment to excellence, we are actively seeking to expand our dedicated cardiac imaging team by adding an additional advanced cardiac imaging specialist. This position will be dedicated to providing expertise in the field of cardiac CT and MRI, playing a pivotal role in our advanced cardiac imaging program. The selected individual will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, surgeons, and other specialists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Job responsibilities and requirements of the position:

\n\nQualified candidates for this position should be board certified or board eligible in Cardiology.\nA dedicated one-year training in advanced cardiac imaging (Level 3 CT and MRI training) is a requirement for this role. Cardiologists who are completing their training in advanced cardiac imaging are encouraged to apply.\nExperience in structural Echo and/or Nuclear imaging is welcome but not mandatory.\nThe specialist will be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary structural heart team, actively participating in the valve clinic and heart team meetings.\nGreat opportunity to be involved in research projects and teach fellows.\nWe offer a competitive guaranteed salary and provide an assigned mentor within the Baylor network to support professional growth and development.\nThis is a full-time employed position within the Health Texas Provider Network (HTPN), which is the employment arm of Baylor Scott & White.\n\n
