The Opportunity:

At CACI, we're tackling the nation’s toughest challenges—and we’re looking for a dynamic Capture Manager to help us grow our impact.  In this strategic role, you’ll lead high-value capture efforts, support targeted proposals, and drive seamless transitions across the entire business development lifecycle.  Your mission?  Position CACI to win new contracts by developing compelling, customer-focused solutions—and by turning opportunity into action.

As a key leader on our Business Development (BD) team, you’ll own the capture of strategic and tactical contracts—ranging up to and beyond $50M in value—while also guiding colleagues and internal stakeholders toward successful proposal submissions and contract wins.  You’ll play a critical role in shaping pursuits, building teams, and aligning CACI’s capabilities with our federal customers’ evolving needs.

This role is primarily based in Arlington, VA, with flexibility in your daily location. You’ll participate in in-person meetings in the Arlington and Washington, D.C. metro area, and occasional travel (up to 10%) within the continental U.S.




Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

Lead, plan, and manage capture strategies in your assigned marketsBuild and qualify a robust pipeline of opportunities—both tactical and strategicDrive major capture efforts up to $100M in value from identification through awardDevelop and execute comprehensive capture strategies, including solutioning, teaming, pricing, staffing, and positioningBuild and lead high-performing capture teams and delegate effectively across the BD lifecycleAnalyze customer needs, goals, decision drivers, and biases to craft winning solutionsConduct competitive assessments to evaluate CACI’s positioning relative to competitorsCollaborate across business lines to develop compliant, compelling, and executable proposalsLead milestone and gate reviews to ensure capture progress and internal alignmentMaintain opportunity tracking and forecasting through an organized knowledge management systemIdentify and negotiate teaming agreements with industry partners to expand capabilities and competitivenessRecommend innovative technical solutions—leveraging internal talent and vendor offerings to create valueBuild trusted relationships with customers, continuously shaping opportunities and providing strategic insights back to BD leadershipOversee proposal and capture continuity across all phases of the business development lifecycle, increasing win probability and internal efficiency




Qualifications:

Required: 

Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in capture management, business development, or related activities (or equivalent education plus experience)Proven ability to develop and lead capture strategies for technical and solution-oriented opportunitiesDemonstrated leadership in building and managing industry teams, developing win strategies, and executing capture plansStrong writing and communication skills across a range of formats and audiencesExperience independently managing multiple priorities and collaborating across departmentsAbility to brief senior stakeholders, executives, and customer decision-makersSuccessful track record of managing multi-disciplinary project teamsDeep understanding of federal acquisition processes and ability to manage time-sensitive, complex projectsFamiliarity with DoD and Federal Government technologies, contracting methods, and vendorsProven ability to lead, delegate, and problem-solve effectively under pressure




Desired:

Master’s degree in a technical or business field (e.g., economics, finance, engineering, computer science)Demonstrated success in federal government capture management, including leading pursuits up to $100MExperience identifying and winning single-award contracts in the federal space, particularly in program management, strategic communications, IT support, and acquisitionPrior business development experience with DoD, VA, or DHSActive or recent Secret Clearance (DoD or Intelligence Community)

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$79,400 - $162,700
