Job Description:

The Corporate & leveraged Finance Product Lead position is focused on providing support to the origination and execution efforts within the Corporate & Leveraged Finance group.  The Product Lead’s primary role is to manage the deal team and lead the execution of the transaction process from initial evaluation to the pitch process to being awarded the mandate through and including closing.  Product Lead’s will work on transactions that provide exposure to various client industries and banking services, including M&A, debt and equity placement, refinancings, dividend recapitalizations, acquisition financing and leveraged buyouts.

Primary responsibilities include:

Generating proactive ideasDeveloping internal and external client relationshipsLeading internal work streams / deal teamsProviding guidance on complex financial modeling and analysisPerforming fundamental credit analysis (including industry research, qualitative and quantitative company performance, financial statement detail, and comparable transaction information)Leading transaction due diligenceOverseeing the creation of marketing materials for mandated transactionsCreating and negotiating transaction legal documentsInteracting with lenders / investors as they analyze potential transactions

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay. 

This position is incentive eligible.

The Product Lead is responsible for leading the execution deal team for nearly all deliverables used throughout the transaction lifecycle, including:

Initial and detailed projection modelsTransaction screening memos, including initial perspective on proposed structure and termsCustomized pitchbook materialsCreation of offering materials (i.e., teaser memo, confidential information memorandum and, lenders’ / investors’ presentation)Fixed Income, Leveraged Finance & Mergers & Acquisition (“M&A”) transaction memosCreation of the legal documents (i.e. engagement documents, credit agreement, etc.)

The Product Lead’s role is typically a three to five-year, incentive eligible position before having the opportunity to advance to Director.  The position is located in either Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA.  Limited travel is required.  The Product Lead is tasked with leading a group of Analysts and Associates while building a team-oriented culture of excellence.  During the initial eighteen months, the Product Lead is focused on becoming proficient in all phases of the transaction execution process, including legal document negotiation and trends.

Product Lead candidates should have a bachelor’s degree from a reputable undergraduate college / university at least 5 years of prior capital markets, investment banking or credit underwriting experience.  A Master’s degree along with at least 3 years of relevant work experience is preferred.  Product Lead candidates should have the Series 79 & 63 licenses or be able to obtain them within 6 months of employment.

The Corporate & Leveraged Finance group at Regions Securities LLC is focused on providing capital raising and advisory services to the firm’s corporate, commercial and private equity clients.  The Corporate & Leveraged Finance group consists of the following product and coverage areas:

Loan Syndications (investment grade, leveraged and middle market)Fixed Income Capital MarketsEquity Capital MarketsMergers & AcquisitionsPrivate Alternative Capital (2nd lien, mezzanine, etc)Private Equity Coverage

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$150,001.58 USD

Median:

$231,346.50 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
