Corteva Agriscience is offering a Project Engineering Internship as part of our Professional Internship Program for Summer 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for college sophomores, juniors, or graduate students in engineering to work on meaningful projects and prepare for a potential career in engineering within a global leader in agriculture.

As a Project Engineering Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers to contribute to projects involving the design, renewal, and upgrade of seed production facilities. You’ll gain valuable exposure to facility design processes, project execution methods, and the coordination required to bring engineering projects to life.


What You’ll DoAssist in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering activities for facility design, upgrades, and retrofits.Collaborate with project managers to prepare technical documentation, review contractor design packages, and ensure compliance with engineering standards.Support the development of project budgets, schedules, and change management documentation.Participate in field visits to seed production facilities to observe construction activities, collect data, and assist with contractor coordination.Gain exposure to Corteva’s Project Development and Delivery Framework (CorePD) and learn about Front-End Loading (FEL) project stages.
What You’ll LearnInsight into the full lifecycle of engineering projects in the agricultural sector.Hands-on experience with facility design, upgrades, and retrofits.Understanding of industry standards and engineering best practices.Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and LEAN construction principles.Collaboration and communication skills through working with project managers, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
What We’re Looking ForCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Post Graduate program in Mechanical, Agricultural, or Construction Engineering, or a related field.Must be enrolled for the fall semester immediately following Summer 2026.Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Interest in facility design, construction, or project management.Willingness to travel up to 40% during the internship, with transportation and accommodations provided for site visits.

Location

The internship is based in Johnston, Iowa, with potential travel to Corteva seed production facilities.
