**Team Info:** Microsoft FDnE business operations team, oversees Microsoft's revenue reporting process, collaborating with source data partners, business users to address data or functional issues. They are responsible for overseeing the entire end-to-end process of revenue publishing, pinpointing and resolving data and code issues in collaboration with the technical team. The business operations team not only manages reporting but also engages in functional and code testing of new features, play a crucial role in educating external users, addressing their queries, and ensuring a clear understanding of the processes. The team conducts thorough data analysis to guarantee the precision and efficiency of reporting procedures.
**Job description:**
**Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement**
- Work with Finance Managers and other business partners to develop the project roadmap and the product backlog.
-Work closely with business stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on best practices in discussions about data governance, data privacy and data security.
- Lead data engineers and data analysts in implementing complex data initiatives, ensuring data pipelines meet both business and technical objectives.
- Ensure clear and timely communication with stakeholders to align on project updates, risk management , and deliver results within deadlines.
**Data Architecture and Design**
- Design and build robust, scalable and efficient data architectures and frameworks for data projects.
-Implement scalable, efficient, and secure data pipelines to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Design data models, ensuring that data structures are optimized for analytics and reporting needs.
- Define and enforce data architecture best practices and standards across the organization.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data is structured in a way that meets business and analytical requirements.
**Data Integration and Management**
- Integrate data from various sources, such as data lakes, databases and cloud platforms ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Develop pipelines to extract and transform data for deriving actionable insights and analytics purposes.
- Monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data integrity
- Implement data warehousing solutions and manage the optimization of data storage, retrieval, and processing for performance and scalability.
**Performance Optimization and Scalability**
- Optimizing data pipelines and queries for performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in data pipelines and processing workflows.
- Implement data caching, partitioning, and indexing strategies to improve query performance.
- Apply strategies including partitioning , sharding and parallelization to ensure data systems can grow and adapt to increased volume and demand.
**Data Analytics and Reporting:**
-Design, develop and maintain data models and semantic models to optimize reporting and analysis performance
-Develop and automate reports and dashboards to provide insights into key business metrics
-Build custom reports and data visualizations to support specific business needs and decision making
**Required skill set:**
+ Writing Queries; Developing quality audits
+ Exposure to PowerBI and Excel (VBA, Lookups, pivots, etc.)
+ Experience working on project management tools like Azure DevOps (ADO), JIRA, etc.
+ Experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF) , Azure Sql Server , Azure Synapse Analytics , Azure Semantic Models, Tabular Model , PySpark (Azure Notebooks) , Power BI , DAX , T-SQL.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to work in Agile environment, deal with ambiguity and critical thinking to achieve the expected results within SLAs
+ Excellent communication skills and ability to work with customer stakeholders and cross-functional teams by effectively understanding the business requirements
+ Experience with Project management and financial management with complex business challenges.
