As a Capability Product Manager, you are the bridge between our customers, business, vendors, and development teams. You are responsible for understanding our business strategies, challenges, and/or customer problems, and validating them through research and data. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the product roadmap for multiple products and/or capabilities and collaborating across channels and business areas to achieve the desired outcomes.
This is a hybrid role located on our campus in Mountlake Terrace, Washington.
What you’ll do:
Independently own and drive the direction of the assigned products or capabilities, including establishing the vision and strategy for one or more products or capabilities in alignment with overall corporate strategy.
Effectively communicate and advocate the product/capability strategy and vision, as well as goals and objectives for specific initiatives to all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
Create, drive, and own the product/capability roadmap.
Balance priorities of feature needs and roadmap, including negotiation and coordination among business stakeholders and technology teams.
Develop business cases and rationale to validate roadmaps and strategies.
Develop a deep understanding of the company’s end-to-end business processes and how they relate to technology.
Manage the overall business requirements and process design documentation and deliverables leveraging enterprise practices and tools, in alignment with industry best practices.
Collaborate with peers and leaders across the enterprise to solicit needs and ensure outcomes align with enterprise priorities and goals.
Define initiative success criteria and business metrics to measure results, including reporting results and making future recommendations based on those results.
Evaluate and report progress against roadmap and defined outcomes to executive leadership, key business stakeholders, and technology partners.
Leverage deep knowledge of the challenges impacting the customer experience, including the technical, functional, process, and policy considerations, and creatively define solutions to those challenges; inform and evangelize a strong customer focus and customer experience that aligns decision making.
Develop a strong collaborative working partnership with other product managers, and in-sourced and outsourced technology teams to manage dependencies on cross-team initiatives.
Partner with stakeholders to develop appropriate change-management strategy and training materials to ensure successful uptake and adoption of new tools and processes.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of competitive and best practices as well as technical analysis of strengths and weaknesses of the assigned products or capabilities; use knowledge of industry insights and industry best practices to inform ongoing product or capability development.
May manage a cross-functional insourced or outsourced product team.
Serves as mentor for lower-level Product Managers and Product Owners.
Advocates for and builds maturity within the product management discipline.
What you’ll bring:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or (4) years of work experience in a related field.
(8) years of professional work experience which includes knowledge of end-to-end product management lifecycle and previous product management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Product management experience in the healthcare, financial services, or other highly regulated industry.
Multiple years of business experience, preferably in a matrix work environment.
Experience in a software production environment with Agile development practices, including Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework.
Experience working in a large-scale enterprise environment with diverse stakeholders.

Proven ability to manage multiple products or initiatives in a cross-functional, multi-team environment.
Ability to build business consensus among stakeholders.

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to the audience at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
Strong leadership skills to indirectly manage cross functional teams toward common solutions, including the delivery team, product owners, and analysts.
Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to leverage research and data to support sound decisions.
Ability to develop and deliver effective business cases.
Strong business acumen and ability to cultivate a deep understanding of the business areas your capability serves.
Demonstrated ability to build and leverage deep knowledge of the challenges impacting the customer experience.
Exemplary focus on the customer and proven experience with customer feedback and human centered design methods.
Track record for thinking broadly and unbiased on technology options, issues, and integrating technical with business and information for complete solutions.
Technical depth with broad and high-level understanding of domain.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.
The salary range for this role is posted below; we generally target up to and around the midpoint of the range.
National Plus Salary Range:
$109,000.00 - $185,300.00*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
