About the role 

This role is based at Diageo’s Shieldhall packaging site. Shieldhall packages a huge volume of Scotch malt whiskies, white spirits and ready to drink brands to supply over 170 countries around the world and is a key manufacturing site within the Scotch supply category.

As the Capability Assessor at Shieldhall, you’ll help to support our training strategy across site.  Working with operational teams, the successful incumbent will be responsible for confirming that ways of working and work instructions are up to date and standardised as well as ensuring that the Scotch training database is updated in a timely and accurate manner. You’ll collaborate with the Packaging Team Leader to deliver strategic training priorities and will anticipate business needs to make sure that training plans are in place for any temporary workers.

Key responsibilities:

Work with Capability Co-Ordinator, Site Management Teams and equipment manufacturers to build, review and maintain all training material as per the agreed standards.Build assessment documentation and carry out employee assessments before & during training and overall sign off.Ensure the site training plan is implemented and performed brilliantly.Work closely with Teams to close any capability gaps.Attend daily/monthly training meetings and be responsible for the relevant data for those meetings and action anything from these meetings.Ensure Intact teams are supported and delivered by working with site leadership teams to ensure Equipment Owners have the required skills for their role.Support Capex implementation plansSupport trainees by facilitating frequent and meaningful check insWillingness to support the migration to digital ways of working for on-the-job training pack

Shifts  

  

As a Capability Assessor in this position, you will work 36 hours per week on constant weekends. Your working hours will be 7am-7pm, Friday to Sunday.

It would also be beneficial if you have Train the Trainer qualifications (or equivalent) and Lift Truck instructor qualifications (or willingness to complete).
