Canada - Food Service Sales Director (Mgr.)

Food Service Sales Director (Mgr.) is responsible for driving strategic growth and expanding Ocean Spray’s presence within the Canadian food service sector, including hospitality, healthcare, education, business & industry, Cash & Carry, airline segments, and other assigned channels. This position leads the development and execution of annual and long-term business plans, working closely with broker partners and major distributors to achieve sales objectives and strengthen key relationships.

The ideal candidate will effectively align customer needs with Ocean Spray’s capabilities to deliver impactful, customized solutions. They will also play a pivotal role in enhancing brand visibility through active participation in industry trade shows and networking events, positioning Ocean Spray as a leader in the food service industry. This position will report to the Canada Managing Director.

A Day in the Life...

Create and execute both short and long term food service business strategy to align with cooperative objectives.In partnership with broker, strengthen relationships and gain a deeper understanding of each large/strategic customers’ business including their goals, challenges, and opportunities. In partnership with brokers, negotiate and manage contracts with customers ensuring compliance.  Collaborate with distributor and operator partners to develop programs that support increasing product distribution and driving sales.Identify and launch new opportunities within the market, including product line expansions, seasonal promotions, and marketing initiatives to increase sales volume.Own accurate financial reporting including sales, volume, trade, and profit in partnership with broker partners and internal cross functional team.  Analyze performance data to optimize profitability, ensure competitive pricing, uncover new opportunities, distribution gaps, industry trends, etc.  Use data/insights to build future product assortment and pricing strategies where appropriate.  Conduct monthly business reviews with the FS broker teams to track against objectives.Cross-Functional Collaboration – working with broker sales, marketing, operations, insights, and finance to deliver against objectives, enhance brand visibility, and drive innovation.Provide customer training to distributor sales teams to ensure they have a thorough understanding of product features, benefits, and competitive positioning.

What We Are Looking For:

10+ years of progressive and related Food Service/Hospitality Account management experience in CPG required, with a proven track record of accomplishments. Strong knowledge of the Canadian FS market and alternative go-to-market channelsHighly Analytical, Data-driven, P&L and Numbers savvy. Must have experience using various types of syndicated data. E.g. AC Nielsen, IRI etc.Highly effective negotiator, Critical thinker, driven and highly organized.Sound communication and active listening skills with advanced presentation skillsInnovative, solution-oriented mindsetSelf-motivated and able to work independently.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointBachelor’s Degree required
