**Description** Job Summary: The Campus Safety Officer ensures a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff; protects Hospital property and equipment from theft; maintains traffic and parking control; and presents a positive image to all who visit the Hospital. Minimum Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required, any higher education from an accredited college will supersede this requirement. Licensure/ Certification: Certified through the State of North Carolina as an unarmed security officer. Certified through the International Foundation for Protection Officers as an ISOP (Initial Security Officer Program). Experience: At least one year with a private security agency is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Ability to interact professionally and appropriately with teammates, providers, patients and the public. • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. • Proficient with MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly.
