Join Our Team as a Campus Lab Support Assistant – Summer Job in Mölndal, Gothenburg

Avantor is currently looking for several motivated Campus Lab Support Assistants to join our team in Mölndal, Gothenburg for the summer period!

In this diverse and hands-on role, you will provide operational support to various laboratories on site. Your tasks may include waste management, glassware delivery and collection, placing supply orders, autoclaving equipment, and more.

Whether you come from logistics, hospitality, or retail, if you’re curious about science and enjoy structured, hands-on work, this role offers a great entry point into the laboratory world.

What We Offer:
This is a full-time, fixed-term summer position based on-site in Mölndal.
In addition to valuable work experience in a scientific setting, you’ll gain:

Working hours: Monday to Friday, with flexible start between 06:00–09:00 and finish between 15:00–18:00.

About the Team
You’ll join a supportive team of six, including a Campus Service Lead, Service Assistant, and Service Coordinator. The team is part of Avantor’s Lab & Production Services department, which supports leading pharmaceutical and life sciences laboratories globally in their R&D work.

What We're Looking For:

Education:

Training as a Lab Assistant, Lab Technician, or similar is a plus, but not required

Experience:

Experience in a hospital, lab, or logistics environment is preferred

Service-oriented roles in retail or hospitality are also highly valued

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Microsoft Office

Good communication skills in both English and Swedish

Service-minded, flexible, and a team player

Well-organized, motivated, and proactive

How You’ll Make an Impact:

Receive and unpack goods (including chemicals and consumables)

Restock lab materials such as glassware, lab coats, and sterile items

Autoclave instruments and clean lab equipment

Manage lab waste and handle the glass wash process

Support purchasing by placing and following up on orders

Calibrate simple lab tools like pipettes

Help document procedures and support continuous improvement
