About the role:

Coordinates in real time functions and special events to ensure client specifications are adhered to and that all functions listed on event sheets run smooth and efficient. You'll focus on service and event logistics and ensuring that all required details can be delivered as promised.

 

What you'll be doing:

Coordinate and execute community events by fulfilling all tasks on event worksheets, ensuring client details (party size, menu, schedules, timelines, etc.) are implemented, and making additional arrangements (equipment, flowers, décor, photography) as needed.Oversee logistics in real time, problem-solve and make on-the-spot decisions, support staff when needed, and handle customer relations to ensure client satisfaction.Collaborate with the Campus Events Manager, Director of Community Engagement, Catering, Facilities, and other departments to align expectations, prepare detailed function sheets, and coordinate through weekly staff meetings.Manage all aspects of event delivery including setup, service, and cleanup for a variety of functions (meals, receptions, celebrations, memorials, etc.), as well as pre-collection of goods and organization of service storage spaces across multiple buildings.Maintain required certifications (Food Handlers Card, OLCC Permit), attend scheduled training/meetings, operate Manor vehicles between buildings, and perform other assigned duties while upholding RVM’s policies and standards.

About you: 

A minimum of one to two years of supervisory experience is required.   Must be knowledgeable in all serving techniques and meal service styles.Bartending Experience is preferred.  Must have knowledge and understanding in commercial cost accounting of catered events.Must have experience with excel, word, reserve and outlook. Must have a current Oregon drivers license and be insurable under the Manor’s insurance policy.
