We currently have an exciting opportunity for an energetic, and enthusiastic customer and safety-focused Campus Control Room Officer. Reporting to the Security Manager, the purpose of the Security Officer position is to provide for the safety and security of persons, premises, and assets of the site, whilst providing exceptional customer service to all our customers and stakeholders.
The Security Officer responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholdersConduct regular foot patrols of the site and its assetsPerform unlock and lock up of access points within the siteMonitor, control and maintain CCTV, access control and BMS systemsOperation of fire systemsIncident response, resolution, and reportingManagement of contractors and visitors onsite
Skills and Experience
Minimum 2 years security experience (Control Room experience highly regarded)VIC Security Licence (Must include Control Room and Monitoring accreditation)Current First Aid & CPRCurrent knowledge of work health and safety and risk management practicesKnowledge of current industry standards and requirementsProven experience in emergency response proceduresHighly developed customer service skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsPrevious experience in operation of systems within a Control Room environment (including but not limited to) CCTV, Access Control and BMS (Intergriti and Avigilon experience highly regarded).Proven ability to understand, interpret and follow policies, procedures, and instructionsHigh level of computer skills (including all Microsoft products)Working with children card or willing to apply for one
