Job Summary Job SummaryPOSITION OVERVIEW The Campus Caretaker plays a vital role in ensuring that the school campus is clean, safe, well-maintained, and ready for children, families, and staff each day. This individual is responsible for daily custodial duties, light maintenance and repair work, support during events, and collaboration with external vendors and facilities specialists. The ideal candidate has excellent time management skills, sound judgment, and a proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently in a warm, child-centered environment.

Required * 3+ years in custodial, facilities, or maintenance work; school or childcare setting preferred * Working knowledge of building systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, safety codes) * Comfortable with hand tools and small power tools * Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and work on ladders * Trustworthiness, discretion, and respect for confidentiality * Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation * Basic computer skills (for maintenance tracking, email updates, vendor communication) Preferred * Experience supervising or liaising with maintenance vendors * Familiarity with school safety standards and child-appropriate cleaning procedures
