Overview We are seeking a skilled Adobe Campaign Developer to build, execute, and optimize multi-channel marketing campaigns using Adobe Campaign (Standard or Classic). This role is deeply technical and requires expertise in campaign workflow development, data manipulation, scripting, and integration with enterprise marketing ecosystems. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate campaign execution while collaborating with marketing, analytics, and IT teams. Responsibilities Campaign Development & Execution Design, build, and deploy campaigns in Adobe Campaign (Standard or Classic) across channels such as email, SMS, push notifications, and direct mail. Develop and maintain targeting workflows using data filters, queries, and audience segmentation logic. Configure recurring, trigger-based, and batch campaigns with personalized and dynamic content blocks. Manage end-to-end campaign execution including proofing, QA, approvals, and production deployment. Technical Implementation Develop JavaScript, SQL, and XML logic for dynamic personalization, conditional logic, and calculated fields within delivery templates and workflows. Integrate Adobe Campaign with external systems via APIs, SFTP, Web Services, and connectors (e.g., Adobe Experience Platform, CRMs, data warehouses). Create and manage custom schemas, forms, and typologies to support specific business requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion, workflow errors, delivery failures, and rendering problems. Data Management Work closely with data teams to ingest, clean, map, and transform customer data for segmentation and campaign targeting. Maintain and optimize workflows that handle data loads, enrichment processes, deduplication, opt-outs, and audience refresh cycles. Ensure accurate mapping of customer profiles, transactional data, behavioral events, and metadata for precise targeting. Quality Assurance & Compliance Perform detailed QA on all campaign assets and data processes—validate links, rendering across devices, personalization, segmentation accuracy, and deliverability. Ensure all campaigns meet internal governance standards and comply with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Implement tracking mechanisms and UTM parameters to support performance analytics and attribution. Collaboration & Documentation Work closely with campaign managers, marketers, creatives, data engineers, and QA specialists to ensure successful execution and delivery. Maintain technical documentation, reusable templates, and campaign configuration libraries to support scalability and knowledge transfer. Contribute to internal training and enablement efforts for marketers and operational users of Adobe Campaign. Qualifications Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience working with Adobe Campaign Classic or Adobe Campaign Standard as a technical developer. Strong proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, and XML within the Adobe Campaign environment. Experience developing campaign workflows, data extractions, and delivery templates. Familiarity with campaign orchestration, segmentation logic, and personalization techniques. Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP file operations, and integration patterns. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality assurance, testing, and compliance. Ability to translate marketing requirements into scalable, reliable technical solutions. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe RTCDP, or Adobe Journey Optimizer is a plus. Familiarity with email rendering tools (e.g., Litmus, Email on Acid). Understanding of deliverability best practices and CAN-SPAM, CASL, or other regional marketing regulations. Experience in agile environments and familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Workfront.
