CAM Field Specialists
We are seeking a **Field Service Specialist – Controls located in Newfoundland, Canada** to support the assembly, installation, commissioning, and servicing of subsea control systems. This role involves both onshore workshop duties and frequent offshore field service assignments on rigs, platforms, and intervention vessels. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of subsea control equipment, following established manufacturing and operational practices. **Key Responsibilities:** + Prepare and maintain equipment and tooling in the workshop. + Execute work orders, including site acceptance testing, pre-deployment testing, returned goods refurbishment, and post-mobilization activities. + Support offshore and onshore mobilization/demobilization and testing of subsea controls equipment. + Conduct offshore operations including maintenance, repair, logistics, and installation of OneSubsea products. + Maintain hydraulic test equipment and manage spare parts inventory. + Operate hand, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools, as well as lifting equipment and overhead cranes. + Upload and run updated software scripts; collaborate with the software development team. + Provide on-site technical support and data interpretation. + Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a fast-paced environment. + Assist with customer maintenance scheduling and job planning. + Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Electrical/Instrumentation Technologist Diploma or a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. + Familiarity with Linux operating systems and SCADA control systems. + Working knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems. + Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics. + Strong computer skills, including use of standard office and OS software. + Willingness and ability to travel frequently offshore and internationally, sometimes on short notice. + Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills in technical settings. + Must be able to complete Basic Safety Training, including underwater emergency escape and breathing apparatus use. + Must have the legal right to reside and work in Canada without visa sponsorship. **Preferred Qualifications:** + 2+ years of relevant experience in: + Offshore oil and gas operations. + Linux and SCADA systems. + Hydraulic and mechanical equipment. + Interpretation and implementation of electrical/mechanical drawings.
