Description Call Center Specialist – Brentwood, TN A valued partnership has one of our clients seeking to permanent several Call Center Specialists in Brentwood, TN, to join their team in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This is an exciting opportunity where successful individuals may have the chance to be hired permanently after completing initial training and meeting performance expectations. During the first 3 months of training, you will receive guidance and support to understand the role and company processes fully. After these first 3 months, candidates will be evaluated based on their ability to meet key metrics, attendance, punctuality, and overall performance. While permanent placement is not guaranteed, it is the company’s goal to transition high-performing individuals to a permanent role typically within 3–6 months, provided that the expectations are consistently met and business needs allow for it.
In this role, you’ll support B2B payment processes by simplifying vendor relationships, offering better control, and increasing visibility for clients. This position involves connecting with vendors by phone, cultivating vendor relationships for client programs, and driving revenue generation. Working closely with Vendor Enrollment Management as well as the Implementation and Sales teams, you’ll help build strategies to meet targets and quotas. Reporting directly to the hiring manager, this role also fosters collaboration with other internal teams.
As a Call Center Specialist, this hybrid role provides: Work from home days on Monday and Friday; with the in-office days being Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Assigned workspace in Brentwood, TN Company-issued equipment Hands-on training to ensure success
Role Responsibilities Engage with vendors not currently in the program via phone to drive payments adoption. Maintain and prioritize vendor queues to complete campaigns within set timelines. Enter accurate vendor/client data into designated systems, ensuring clear recordkeeping. Discuss enrollment statistics with clients, sales, and project managers. Act as a liaison between vendors and clients, resolving payment issues or negotiating terms. Address objections from vendors, offering alternative payment options effectively. Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls (80+ daily) professionally. Use internal applications for prompt and efficient customer assistance. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication in client interactions. Identify and promote cross-selling opportunities for additional products/services. Transfer inquiries to appropriate departments or personnel as needed. Deliver accurate account information in a fast-paced work environment. Perform multitasking efficiently—listening, data entry, resolving issues, and providing solutions. Participate in additional tasks or projects based on business needs. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 1+ years of high call volume experience in a detail oriented setting preferred. 1+ years in inside sales/telesales or sales support preferred. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple priorities effectively. Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently with minimal supervision. Strong telephone etiquette, communication, and customer service skills. Analytical and general math competency is required. Able to stay composed in high-pressure, fast-paced environments. Demonstrated ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook.
