Calibration Technician
Job Title: Calibration Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Calibration Technician with a strong technical background to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating instruments and systems returned for service or repair. This position is typically found in areas such as service support and metrology, where you will troubleshoot to the component level.

Responsibilities

Perform calibrations using various primary standards and Measurement & Test Equipment (M&TE) according to prescribed work instructions.Prepare required documentation and maintain associated records accurately.Convey data and trends on product calibrations to the appropriate person or department to ensure customer satisfaction.Escalate unusual product issues to the appropriate department.Maintain all standards and M&TE.In a service center setting, analyze, troubleshoot, repair, resolve technical problems, and perform maintenance services on measurement equipment or components returned by customers.

Essential Skills

Troubleshooting skills in electronics and electrical systems.Proficiency in calibration, soldering, and repair of instrumentation.Mechanically inclined with a strong technical aptitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associate's degree in Science with a focus on Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent work experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or another technical field.Troubleshooting experience from academic studies or hands-on work.Understanding of basic metrology concepts preferred.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.Meticulous work attitude, team-oriented, and a strong work ethic.Willingness to learn and succeed.Experience in troubleshooting electronic test equipment is preferred.Six months of experience using automated test systems.Experience with thermal imaging, infrared devices, acoustic imaging devices, and pressure devices.Soldering experience and familiarity with ISO standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
