What this job involves –
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing complex calibrations, maintaining calibration systems, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and leadership in calibration processes across various instruments and equipment. They will also have oversight for managing and coordinating the program and external vendors providing calibration and preventative maintenance on process equipment.
What is your day to day?
Perform advanced calibrations, on a wide range of measurements and test equipment, including but not limited to pressure, temperature, electrical, dimensional, and analytical instrumentsDevelop, implement, and maintain calibration procedures and methodsTroubleshoot and resolve complex calibration issuesManage the calibration laboratory, including equipment maintenance and inventory controlEnsure compliance with cGMP, and other relevant quality standardsReview and approve calibration reports and certificatesManage, train and mentor junior calibration technician(s)Participate in internal and external audits related to calibration processesCollaborate with other departments to improve calibration processes and address quality concernsEvaluate and recommend new calibration equipment and technologiesMaintain detailed records of all calibration activities and manage the calibration databaseContribute to the development of calibration schedules and resource planningLiaise with vendors and external calibration service providers when necessaryDesired experience and technical skills
Required
Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in a similar position.Extensive experience in performing complex calibrations on various instrumentsIn-depth knowledge of calibration procedures, methods, and quality standardsProficiency in managing calibration laboratories and equipmentStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience with cGMP compliance and quality assurance in calibration processesExcellent leadership and mentoring abilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred
Experience in evaluating and recommending new calibration equipment and technologiesFamiliarity with calibration database management systemsExperience in liaising with vendors and external calibration service providersKnowledge of resource planning and scheduling for calibration activitiesLife Sciences: Preferred experience in GMP or equivalent regulated environment.Estimated total compensation for this position:
100,000.00 – 122,000.00 USD per yearThe total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
