Individuals will perform calibrations on various types of equipment, such as temperature/Humidity chambers, thermal shock chambers, multimeters, pressure controllers, pressure transducers and etc. Additional calibration will include mechanical gages such as calipers, micrometers, thread gages and torque gages among other items.
The position requires individuals to follow calibration procedures closely, with great attention to detail to accurately record and document results. They must be able to interpret test results to determine if the equipment has passed/failed calibration requirements.
Individuals must also be able to write calibration procedures for new equipment and make modifications to existing procedures when necessary.
Fluency with MS Office software, such as Word and Excel, is required. Basic understanding of electrical, temperature and pressure concepts as they relate to instrumentation is required. Associates degree in a technical field is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for calibrating different types of electrical equipment (transducers, multimeters, chamber controllers) and mechanical gages (micrometers, calipers).Write calibration procedures for manual calibrations and automated calibrations in Met/Cal software.Develop measurement uncertainty budgets for calibrated equipment.Understand the requirements of ISO 17025 and support the calibration lab in adhering to these requirements as well as supporting the lab during internal and external audits.Must have a working knowledge on calibrating electrical equipment and the use of calibration standards.Must have good documentation skills to be able to record calibration results and create calibration records.Understanding of common mechanical and electronic systems and hardware.Familiarity with basic statistical methods and MS Office Suite programs.Job Requirements:
Associates degree in a technical discipline strongly preferred or applicable technical expertise. Military Veterans encouraged to apply.GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.Experience / Qualifications
