Calibration Engineering Intern

We're looking for individuals with a strong interest Propulsion (Internal Combustion and Electrical) and Vessel calibration. You will be an integral member of an engineering team committed to delivering superior results. You'll learn how to work with a team as you own and manage assigned projects from inception to completion. The scope of the internship will be tailored to meet the interests of the candidate and it is possible to get exposure to multiple areas over the duration of the term. **As a Calibration Engineering Intern you may have the opportunity to:** + Assist engineers in development of base engine hardware and calibrations for power, emissions, fuel economy, and part throttle combustion stability. + Assist engineers with electrified propulsion calibration and system development. + Assist engineers with vessel control calibration and system development. + In addition to a great hands-on learning experience, you will also acquire the skills needed to work in a team environment supporting all aspects of the product development cycle from concept to production. **Qualifications of a successful candidate** + Current enrollment in a BS program with a major in Mechanical Engineering or similar + Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits + Able to work full time during the summer May-August 2026 + Ability to convey technical concepts in an easily understood manner, both verbally and in writing, requiring clear and concise verbal and written communications. + Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. + Strong mechanical aptitude (engine knowledge is a plus) and creative ability; self-motivated; ability to work under general supervision. + CAD skills are a plus; Pro-E is the standard system. Basic computer skills; word processions, spreadsheets, data base, and E-mail. + Ability to specify information of material selection, finishes, dimensioning, and tolerances. + US Work Authorization Required Working Conditions: + **Learning Opportunities:** Our Student Program is designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional setting. Student co-ops or interns typically work on specific projects or tasks that contribute to the organization’s goals. This may range from supporting larger projects to handling smaller, individual assignments.   + **Hours:** Co-ops and Interns are expected to work a full 40-hour work week + **Feedback and Performance Reviews:** As a co-op or intern, you will receive feedback and performance reviews throughout your assignment. We value the importance for interns to understand their progress and areas for improvement.  The anticipated pay range for this position is $18.00 - $27.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will vary depending on multiple factors including year in school/credits earned, degree, job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
