**WSP** is looking for a full time Concrete Laboratory Technician in our Calgary office. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to develop their career and experience in the engineering and materials laboratory field. **A day in the life…** Responsibilities will include conducting various tests on concrete, cement and cementitious (fly ash, silica fume, slags, natural pozzolan samples) in a laboratory environment. This assignment is excellent for those individuals that want to be a part of a team network in a materials laboratory setting. This position will require working on multiple projects simultaneously and requires strong scheduling and organizational skills, in addition the incumbent will: + Conduct physical concrete laboratory testing in accordance with ASTM/CSA applicable standards. + Prepare reports and data entry. + Prepare samples to submit to various subcontractors for proficiency and other testing purposes. + Follow WSP’s Project Review, Ethics and Safety Policies. + Participate in 3 rd party audits and proficiency testing on a yearly basis. + Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the laboratory. **If your preference is to work in the lab, and have had enough of working in the field, this is the job for you!
